So are you honestly saying that you'd spend 14 hours reading candidate
statements?

If thats true I suspect that you would be alone.

There comes a point where writing more causes you to know less.

I sat down with the two longest statements and tried to make a
position sheet that highlighted places where they clearly disagreed or
proposed alternative approaches to what was clearly the same issue.

I was able to find two points.

So sure, if you want sunshine and baby kissing, several of our
hopefuls are willing and able to dish it out by the truckload... and
perhaps thats a virtue for this position, but I understand that the
general public has a shorter attention span than I do, and I sure know
that I got bored of these folks quickly.
