[Foundation-l] New project proposal: Lookup directory wiki

Hi,

I would also like to point out that US data protection laws (which the
proposal refers to) are notoriously weak and fragmented. They are also
insufficient in many cases where subjects might be protected by more
stringent privacy laws such as in the European Union. The legal
ramifications and potential for litigation IMO more than outweigh the
benefit of such a project.

Regards,

Sebastian

P.S. To the presenter: please understand that the mere fact that information
is available publically does not necessarily give you permission to
aggregate it other than perhaps for statistical analysis where the data is
sufficiently anonymized and cannot be tracked back to individual people.
