英語をよみかきしない編集者はメタにも他のプロジェクトもたくさんいます。わたしの仄聞する限りでも、メタが「英語の」プロジェクトで英語ができない人は参加してはいけないと不幸な勘違いをしている人はたくさんいます。

私見ですが、自分の母語でかけと他人に強要するがごとき一部英語話者の傲慢さがそのような誤解を作り出しているのだと思います。上でいわれているような、だれもが読める言語それは英語であるというような態度です。

多言語サイトであるといいながら、各人が微妙な問題についてその母語で発言することをゆるさないがごときこのような態度に、私は深く遺憾の念をおぼえます。
