Hi to all fellow wikipedians,

When considering the case of an Andalusian
Wikipedia and how the vote is going at:
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages
Here are some highlights:

1. A lot of (N) native speakers support it
2. Opposers are non-speakers.
3. Many opposers are Castilian speakers.
4. Andalusian pre-dates the Reconquest of Spain by the "Catholic
Kings" (Castile-Aragon) it is not a "new dialect of Castilian".
5. There are actual writing systems already in use on the internet
which represent Andalusian speech and showcase its differences with
Castilian.

These reasons alone would speak well
for the creation of an Andalusian Wikipedia.
Give it a try, I say, maybe a "try-out" and see.

With regards,
Jay B.
