That seems rather uncalled for.  The idea of such a network continues to
have some support (although I must confess at this point that I am one of
those who thinks it is a fine idea) --

updated, for instance -- and it was founded entirely by wikinewsies, to
supplement the foundation's hardware options.

Has there been other continued discussion on wikinews about whether to
attempt such a project?
