I am already on some other mailing list that use the "publicpolicy" name,
so the terms becomes pretty generic.  At least this one stood out 
(and I live it having it in my "main" inbox).

I think that the challenge of renaming the archives (so that
old links work etc.), reconfiguring filters for those who
use them is not worth really worth it.

I really love gmane.org, the alternative archive of the
mailing lists:

http://news.gmane.org/gmane.org.wikimedia.advocacy-advisors

They do not support renaming (so the list will stay under
the old name) and it would be good to take extra steps
so that the gmane.org archive continues to work, if the name
will be changed indeed.

I believe that technical issues can be overcome (tech
guys did excellent work before during the famous foundation-l
move), but I really don't mind using the old name, as
when somebody tells me "remeber that post on the public
policy mailing list?" I don't have to ask "which one?".
