Wikimedia Nederland has been granted project funding for the project Wikipedia on Aruba, which entails a Wikimedian in Residence role for the island of Aruba which is part of the Caribbean part of the Netherlands. The Wikimedian in Residence will work with our local cultural heritage partners towards the projects main goal of encouraging and supporting a thriving and sustainable Wikimedia community in Aruba, focused on documenting and sharing Aruban culture and heritage through Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons and Wikidata.
We are currently setting up the project, and I was wondering about two things you might be able to help me out with:
* Is this the first Wikimedian in Residence role located in the Caribbean?
* do you have any current job offer descriptions for WiRs you might be able to share with me to help us draft?
