Hi everyone,
WMF group product manager Sonja Perry has offered to meet with us, although I’m still waiting to hear back from her regarding a date and time. I imagine everyone is in post-Wikimania catch-up-with-everything mode.
How about if we start brainstorming towards an agenda for this meeting? The meeting does not have to be limited to tools that only WiRs use. For instance, as WiRs we often work with new editors so some of us might have suggestions for improving the new editor experience.
What issues, questions, and discussion topics would you like to cover in this meeting?
Cheers,
Su-Laine

Sonja is a group product manager, leading four teams (Editing, Campaigns, Moderator Tools, and Growth) to deliver our Contributor Experience strategy. She is really interested in learning from Wikimedians in Residence and sharing relevant initiatives at the Wikimedia Foundation.

At a WREN meeting last Monday, we had a lively discussion about tooling, including AI strategy, tool maintenance, and documentation. As experienced, intensive users who also mentor new users, we have a lot of suggestions and questions regarding WMF technology. We thought it would be good to invite you to be a special guest at a future WREN meeting where we could share our feedback and ideas with you, and brainstorm together.

Hi all, this is happening today. I hope you can join, and we will be
watching the session chat and can relay comments from the audience.
https://wikimedia.eventyay.com/talk/wikimania2025/talk/CJGD3Y/
This session will showcase the experiences of Wikimedians in Residence
(WiRs) from around the world, highlighting the evolving nature of their
roles, the challenges they face, and the strategies and tools they use
across Wikipedia, Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, and beyond. Participants
