Hello everyone,

We hope this email finds you well and you are staying safe amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

We are really excited about the planning for the 2021 edition of the #WPWPCampaign. We want to thank you for the time and energy invested in planning  for this campaign in your various communities across the globe.

This year, the campaign will be organized locally by at least 45 Wikimedia affiliates in 40 countries. This is a 43% increase in the total number of participating communities last year.

The campaign will run from the 1st of July to 31st of August 2021 and we plan to do a global launching of the campaign in all social media networks on the 1st of July 2021.

On that day, we want all participating communities as well as individual participants to make a post about the campaign on all their social media networks in your language (Twitter, Facebook, and instagram) with the hashtag #WPWPCampaign2021.

You may use this texts in your post or any texts of your choice

"Help connect millions of photos with millions of Wikipedia pages that need them. Let’s make Wikipedia more visually exciting!"

The campaign handle on all social media networks is #WPWPCampaign. Please tag this handle in your posts. Follow us on social media, if you haven't done so already.

We have attached in this email the campaign banner (in English) for this year and another version without the texts for non-English language speakers who may want to have the banner in their local languages.

Please let us know if you require additional clarifications or information.

With best regards,
Isaac Olatunde
