On behalf of the WikiIndaba Steering Committee (WISCom), I would like to congratulate Wikimedia Usergroup Rwanda for coming on top of the bids to host the WikiIndaba Conference 2022.
The selection process was not easy as you were up against very strong and deserving candidates. However, several factors determined your success including your motivational statement, capacity to host the conference and bringing the conference to your region where it has not been held before.
WISCom is composed of members of previous WikiIndaba host countries. Our function is to guide you through the process of organising the conference. You will also work closely with staff from the Wikimedia Foundation. In this regard, I would like to know if you accept your nomination to host the WikiIndaba Conference 2022 before we make a public announcement.
