Wonderfully expressed, Mike. This is the time of year when light begins to return to the world. May it shine on all the hopes you mention and see them realized.

Cheers to all our compadres on this list.

There were those multi-year periods, punctuating Shakespeare's life here and there, in which London's theaters were closed, but his creativity never ceased. Shakespeare, adapting to his New Normal, changed his business model sometimes, but also came back with plays that were stronger, deeper, and better. The playhouses, in fits and starts, did manage to open and re-open after the lockdowns.

I hope these rigorously demanding, sometimes burdensome two years will have given us all new strength and depth and creativity, and, even as we weather Omicron, I look forward "less Greek" and to seeing many more of you in person in 2022.

Love and Happy New Year!
