At this stage, perhaps an inclusive strategy makes most sense.
Given the inertia factor to starting something wholly new (and the general multimedia energy of the existing FS community!), perhaps the time has indeed come for evolving toward a Featured Media process on Wikipedia.
I would certainly have a few videos to nominate right off :)
