With the acquisition of edX pointing to its eventual re-enclosure, it's worth reflecting that there's no easy-to-find catalog of freely-licensed courses, even though many exist. There isn't even something as simple as the Open Textbook Library https://open.umn.edu/opentextbooks/ index for books. Has anyone worked on something like this? There used to be an OER search tool that specialized in CC-licensed courseware, but it seems to be down; maybe merged into more general CC search?

I was reminded of this by a recent thread on wikimedia-l about standing up an Open edX instance for outreach courses.
