Hi all,
As the last part of putting Gitlab behind a CDN (T425441 https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T425441), Gitlab will be served through our CDN, joining its replicas which have been in that position since last week.
The change will happen on Wednesday August 19 at 08:00 UTC.
No action needed: URLs stay the same and git over SSH is unaffected ( gitlab-ssh.wikimedia.org connects directly). Should anything misbehave, the change can be reverted quickly.
As usual, questions and feedback are welcome on the task https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T425441.
Thanks!
Hi all,
Following up on my previous message: as you might know, the change went ahead on August 19 and was reverted the same morning. The problems that surfaced then have been fixed, thanks to the assistance of @Balthazar Rouberol brouberol@wikimedia.org for the issue involving DPE.
I will retry to move Gitlab behind CDN on Thursday September 3 at 07:00 UTC.
If you are curious about what happened on August 19, you can check the details in T425441 https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T425441#12229794 and T435292 https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T435292. As usual, questions and feedback are welcome on the task (T425441) https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T425441.
Thanks!
