When discussing search engine placments with Yahoo, Google and AOL, do remember that they make money whenever we send a searcher to their search results page, because that searcher sees their ads. These deals can be expected to involve the search company paying the hosting company money.
Jimmy probably already knows this, but just in case...:)

It would be problematic at best for us to accept money for sending search traffic to proprietary search resources. We've provided the google search as an alternative to our own fulltext search simply because we have not had the techincal resources to keep our fulltext search going.
(This should change very soon when we get our 2nd db server in place.)
