As far as I can see, the TeX System is used to display things that HTML can not do.
My interest goes beyond all this - I would like to have a Latex-Wiki that can show and prove the functionality and beauty of Latex. That means that it is necessary to create pictures of arbitrary tex/latex content, and as well to be able to deliver all Pages (in PDF) and the whole Latex Code.
Seems to be more complex than what is done in WikiTeX so far, so my question is, whether is is possible to implement complete Latex files or arbitrary content of complete Latex files in WikiTeX now - or in the future ?

It appears as though you have a pure TeX environment in mind, sans HTML; would hyper-linking then be accomplished externally?

somehow I do not understand your question at all...
What I mean is to create a Wiki System with Latex-Howtos as the content. That means for example to say how to create Chapters and sections. So this code would appear in the html as description and code. The document result should be shown as a picture otherwise it would be a very unsatisfactory wiki. One could say that this is somehow a selfLatex (as in selfhtml)
So the Latex content would be simple text with one chapter and a few sections - thats what I mean with arbitrary latex content.
There are other problems where the result can only be shown as the whole pdf file - so then there would be no picture, but a link to the pdf file.
what I need therefore is a complete TeX system - but that is depending on what shall be done in the TeX system, and therefore not really a problem of the wiki code.
Hope to have cleared up what I meant... Matthias
