The Information Technology Solutions (ITS) Product Line specializes in developing advanced IT solutions for our government and commercial clients. ITS is seeking a PHP Web Developer to develop web applications for our IC client. Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience. A full benefits package will be provided. The selected candidate will work out of Battelle's office in Charlottesville, Virginia. Position Responsibilities: - Work independently and as a member of a multi-functional team to develop and/or modify MediaWiki source, develop custom MediaWiki extensions, and manage custom MediaWiki deployments - Interact daily with non-technical analysts to resolve requests for customizations, re-scoped requirements, and/or bugfixes - Prepare and conduct regular progress briefings extemporaneously and in formal settings to internal and external clients - Troubleshoot periodic production baseline issues during regular business hours - Interact with open-source wiki community to stay abreast of latest wiki technology Required Qualifications: - US Citizen with eligibility for Department of Defense Security Clearance - B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field. - 2+ years experience in developing dynamically generated web applications - Programming experience with XML, XSLT, JavaScript, PHP, and SQL - Understanding of source code control and software development methodologies - Programming experience in both Windows and UNIX environments - Strong verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with the MediaWiki Wiki implementation - Familiarity with the Windows IIS web server - Understanding of web security and web project management practices - Previous experience supporting a production environment Affirmative Action/ Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V To apply please visit Requisition # 13341 at www.battelle.org/careers
