It's tech hiring season again at Wikimedia!

We're looking for at least some people to be here at our San Francisco office, but remote development and system administration is also available (especially making sure we've got stronger timezone coverage for our sysadmins).
So all you out there who've been toiling in secret on your wikis and websites o' doom, but always secretly (or not so secretly) wanted to work for Wikipedia -- send yourself in to jobs at wikimedia.org.

I assume being at least 18 years old is required, right?

It would be a little difficult for someone under 18 to have the required 5+ years experience required. However, if you do, that would be exceptional and say you should go for it. (Note, I am not a "brion".)

Technically to hire a minor we'd have to go through extra paperwork and there's probably limits on hours etc... and I have no idea what legal hurdles might be involved for someone remote outside the US (which we may have to do as a contractor, etc etc).
So it all depends on circumstances and whether it gets through legal. :)

Well, only 2 of the 3 positions listed has that specific length of experience requirement specified. The entry position merely list experience (hence the entry level tag ;-)
