I have almost finished the work for Enotif (Email notification for page changes) see http://bugzilla.wikipedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=454 .

I touched and solved the following other important issues (inter alia) - the table user_newtalk is now dropped and no longer needed http://bugzilla.wikipedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=581 (user-talk pages are treated as any other page) - only authenticated email addresses will be used for mailing to http://bugzilla.wikipedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=866 (cycling through a dummy "I forgot my password" cycle) - this can be later combined with LDAP or similar authentication methods and single user login see http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/SUL and http://bugzilla.wikipedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=57 and others ... ... ... - (rest of changes skipped for the sake of conciseness; you can read them later this week on my pages http://meta.wikipedia.org/Enotif )
