Are the image display bugs on my third sandbox

1. An image may under mysterious circumstances not display with the
assigned width
That's a feature not a bug! It happens whenever the height is more than
50% larger than the width.
What's the exact mechanism? And what's the rationale behind it?
Certainly using a different width than the one specified for an
unobvious reason like this, could be taken to be a usability bug :)
I agree with the interpetration of this as a bug. If I clearly tell software
what to do and it doesn't do it, I always assume that there is something
wrong with the software and not with me. :)
I've already edited the image so that the length is less than 50% of the
width, but would like to avoid having to do that in the future.
Also, the other bug was fixed (thanks!), but not completely: Now
tags are displayed instead of italicising the text when using double
aphostrophes.
Best,
Sascha Noyes
