Does the database got all of this 2 gigabytes data ? Maybe that could
explain the slowness ? :p
2 GB is the compressed size. The database holds this data *uncompressed*. The
slowness, though, is probably caused by this
http://en.wikipedia.org/stats/usage.png
and not by the DB size.
