Thanks for the tip! I have been doing some light coding at getting something displayable. But Chong Yidong's wikipedia-mode.el is much more advanced than what I've started to do. You've just saved me a lot of work.

So, I'm going be trying out Chong's code and will almost certainly build my efforts on top of wikipedia.el.
