Several of the cache boxen are running a bit slow; there's about a 100:1 ratio between the fast and slow boxen:

I've also had to take srv60 out of rotation as it was timing out after insane amounts of time, hence the doubt srv59.

Well, if you want my wild guess, a 100:1 performance difference suggests something is hogging memory and causing excessive swapping.

Domas has known about this for a while, he seems to be of the opinion that we'd be better off switching back to memcached than fixing this in tugela. Apparently there are other problems with tugela, and he's lost interest in maintaining it to some degree.
