Thanks everyone for their time yesterday. It was a really useful sesion to solve some of our main doubts regarding the organization.
I missed some parts due to bad network connection but did someone ask for a detailed budget of previous hackathons? (Zurich & Amsterdam) This will be very useful to prepare our proposal. Are they available online?
Thanks again! Pep

They will, but booth Zürich and Amsterdam are still polishing numbers / format / protocol. In the meantime, feel free contacting directly Maarten Dammers (NL) and Manuel Schneider (CH). Nicole Ebber is a good contact for the events hosted in Berlin.
The budget is important but don't get too obsessed about the budget at this stage. Of course it makes a difference if you get an amazing venue for free or you have to pay expensive market prices, but we know that some areas are going to be more expensive than other, and for us this is one factor of many. What really counts is the fact that you understand the activities and expenses involved, that you understand what implies to organize a successful hackathon and therefore that you could be a good organizer of the next one.
In other words, Be Bold and Be Ready to discuss at Wikimania.

I have sent my preliminary budget as a spreadsheet to everyone who has indicated to be interested (Fred - FR, Ilario - IT, Alex - AT).
