The average size of a wikipedia article in Spanish - Wikitech-l

I think the place to look would be http://stats.wikimedia.org/EN/TablesWikipediaES.htm. However, the average size hasn't been updated since 2009. I sent an email about this to Erik a few days ago and he said these stats will be available after some new servers will have been installed. No ETA, though. Hey Wilfredor, If your building a collection of all Wikipedia articles I just wanted to highlight that we have a number of them including Spanish on http://www.kiwix.org/index.php/Main_Page. Their circa 2010 but if you have some time we could show you the tools to build an up to date collection. Overall you can also get a background on all of our offline projects at http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Offline_Projects in case your curious. The text of the 30000 largest articles (from 534790 to 17188 bytes) sum 1016892130 bytes, so that's on average 33896 bytes *just for the text* (uncompressed).

I think this is an excellent size. Thank you very much, again. ;) It is likely that this amount should be deposited in a DVD
