Indeed, that's the nicest thing to do.
Better, but not good. Since diffs can span several edits, it
is not really going to be helpful in many instances.
You would still only see normalisation of parts of the article that
had changed, it's just that there would be more parts that have
changed. I don't see any real difference between a one edit diff and a
multi-edit diff for these purposes.
