<s> is currently allowed, but it's not adding any semantic information. Del on the other hand has a clear meaning in the xhtml 1.0 specs. Similar with ins, although i'm not sure that's really needed. Generally, i think starting to replace deprecated non-sematic elements with modern, more meaningful equivalents makes sense if there's no good wiki syntax equivalent for it available. I agree that acronym isn't needed, that's much better done in wiki links.
Another thing is font vs. span- font is deprecated, span with arbitrary allowed style information wouldn't be much better on the other hand. A few pre-defined classes that are meant to be used in the content might help here.
