Hoi,
It would be cool if the Babel extension would be part of this because it is
REALLY helpful when people know what languages you have some competency in..
You need software to make this work and, this is what the Babel extension
provides :)
For your information I currently have profiles on 414 WMF wikis and many of
them I get to once a month. It is a pain to inform about myself and the
basic info I provide is links to two wikis; betawiki and meta. Providing
this automatically together with my Babel info would be really beneficial.
Thanks,
GerardM

Thanks to SUL, I now have accounts on several
wikipedias for "drive-by
edits", wikipedias I don't frequent often. I've already been greeted
in several of them, in the local language of course. This is all nice,
but I thought it might be more helpful for both myself and users on
that local wiki if there were some automatic indicator about my usual
hunting grounds. Like, "contact this user on en.wikipedia,
de.wikipedia, commons.wikimedia" (with links to my talk pages there).
That way,
* I don't have to add babel boxes / language links to each and every
user account SUL generates for me
* I don't have to frequent a few dozen talk pages
* People can choose a language to talk to me, on a page I actually frequent
Alternatively, it would be nice to declare one page my "unified talk
page", and transclude that to every wiki. But that has "giant mess"
written all over it...
