There seems to be problems with image loss
again.
At least 12 from enwiki recently reported in
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Missing_images_for_speedy_deletion
Though I found out a few minutes later that there is already a list of
missing images at
http://noc.wikimedia.org/~tstarling/image-check/2008-10-10.
I have at least some files with these names (the list does not provide
the expected hashes, so I'm not sure if I have the exact files).
I'd like to know when Wikimedia is going to have working internal
backups again, and when images can be pushed to some third party (such
as myself) once more, so that future data loss can be avoided.
