Can I use wfMsgExt with parameters? Is there no Doku about this all?

No. You can just use wfMsg('messagename', array('parsemag')); IIRC, and any {{PLURAL:}} calls in the messages should automatically be expanded.
As a general rule, you never need to include() or require_once() any files: the autoloader does that automatically.
