In most European languages the adjectives for each gender are different.
In most languages there are also ways to avoid mentioning the gender, even though it might take some effort. In English, the words boy, girl, man, woman do mention gender, but the words child and person do not. It might be awkward to say policeperson (or police officer) instead of policeman, but if you really want to avoid treating the genders differently (as is considered politically correct), this is a possible way forward.
Being forced to speak differently because of your gender, age, social class or race is a form of apartheid that keeps people in difference, where they should be equals. The simplicity of English is a radical challenge to many other languages and cultures.
