I realise that we might have had a problem in the past with people clicking on the MediaWiki logo in the corner when installing their wikis, but perhaps we could solve this problem by delinking it, instead of an English Wikipedia style giant stop sign at the top of the page. It really hurts my eyes.

Came across this today doing a live demo / conference discussion about mediawiki and wikipedia, and was appalled at the hideous stop sign and bright red warning text. :(
We don't need to go so crazy with templates, large warnings, etc. especially on mediawiki.org Please let's get rid of it.
