I was wondering about the old dumps recently for another reason (to get old links data, not to get a small file). Dumps pages older than about the last six months (for example: http://download.wikimedia.org/enwiki/20091017/) display a message saying that the files are offline for maintenance. Is this accurate? If so, is there any news on the progress of the maintenance?
