Hello,

First of all thank you for your interest in the Portals GSoC project!

I apologize for my late reply to this email, but currently I’m only able to dedicate a very small portion of my time to this project (about once a week, usually on Sundays).

There has been a large amount of interest in this project, and although only one person can be chosen to carry out this project via GSoC, I deeply appreciate every patch that is submitted to this repo and it goes a long way in maintaining these pages.

So to get started, please subscribe to the GSoC task on Phabricator[1], I’ll be periodically posting more micro-tasks on that project as time goes on.

In the mean time, try to set the project up on your local machine. There is some setup documentation available in the repo[2]. If you find any of the documentation confusing or out of date, that might be a good place to start contributing. There have been some issues setting up the project on windows[3], so I recommend running it entirely through Windows Subsystem for Linux if you run into an issue. Also take a look through the Portals project board and see if any of the tasks there catch your interest[4].

Please subscribe to the channel on Zulip[5] as well. I’m available for DMs via that platform.

Thank you again for your interest.

- Jan
