When users search, they search by default only in the article namespace (rather, in no namespace at all). In new Wikis smaller communities it could be very useful to let users search for other namespaces by default as well. E.g. many new users will want to search for documentation. A simple method that I'd like to search in namespaces is to recognise a search for (say) "User talk:Lir" as a search for "Lir" in the [[User talk:]] namespace. Something like this already works for Go.
