Works for me, but _one_ comment: if we want to be able to combine the section reference into the display somehow, we might want to have a specific para for this, "section=" or such. To see what I'm getting at, I'll paraphrase a ref from a recent article (actually, it's on the front page right now)...

In the second case we're saying we absolutely want to add a note to the end of the reference. In the first case, however, we're only specifying a section, we don't really care how it's displayed. It might simply be appended, but maybe someone else comes up with a better way to do this.
I'm not saying this is a must-have by any means, I'm of two minds whether the two would ever be different in practice.
