I've finally got around to adding in the 88x31 icon, which will display
in the page footer. Now up at
http://test.wikipedia.org/ (you may have
to force a reload to update the stylesheet).
Test also now shows an optional GNU FDL icon which I threw together.
(It's ugly, sorry; the XCF is right next to the live PNG, so anybody
who wants to improve, please do.) To configure the FDL icon and
copyright notice (and to include this info in the Creative Commons and
Dublin Core metadata links) do something like this:
$wgRightsPage = "Wikipedia:Copyrights";
$wgRightsUrl = "http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/fdl.html";
$wgRightsText = "GNU Free Documentation License 1.2";

Or to configure for a Creative Commons license, one might do this:

The "copyright" message plus $wgRightsText replaces the old "gnunote"
message in page footers. There are still other hardcoded FDL references
remaining that need to be cleaned up, though.
