This is not true for German, and it is easy to rephrase most things in Italian and French so as not to disclose one's sex. Maybe in other languages that's different though.

Pardon me ??? You probably are not female, otherwise you would know you always end up spilling up your gender one day or another when talking in french. No, rephrasing is not really easy.
Let me mention that there has been an ongoing discussion at least 1 year old, asking that utilisatrice is made possible :-) To note : I did not lead that discussion :-)
