Hello all,
For the very first time, we are considering to submit Wikimedia's application for the Rails Girls Summer of Code (RGSOC) http://railsgirlssummerofcode.org/ program.
The goal of this program is to foster diversity in Open Source. Though it sounds from the name that the projects submitted should be in ROR/ Rails, but that's not true. Projects could be in any programming language. This program will run between *July-September 2017*.
The best part (for us and them) -- students work in pairs on a project, and need to be working from the same city. More about the application guidelines: http://railsgirlssummerofcode.org/students/application/.
For organizations applying, the process is different from the other outreach programs in a way, that we need to submit projects and mentors beforehand.
If you have some tasks/projects in mind that you would be interested in mentoring, please reply to me ASAP, as the deadline to apply as an organization is almost there (*January 31st, less than six days remaining!* ).
Your help would be much appreciated!
Cheers, Srishti
