Based on some IRC discussion and offline e-mails with Michael, we have
decided to add the following components to the MediaWiki product (already
done):
* Add Media Wizard:
The [
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Add_Media_Wizard add media
wizard] supports searching repositories, inline uploading and basic resource
transformations for inline inserting of media into articles
* Firefogg:
Firefogg is the firefox browser extension that we use for client side
transcoding of video and chunked uploads of large media files.
* mv_embed Player:
The javascript player used for embed video playback
* Sequence Editor:
The [
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Sequencer Sequencer] is a
in-browser video editor.
* Timed Text:
These correspond to bugs around video timed text parsing display, and
editing.
* Script-Loader:
The [
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/ScriptLoader script loader] localizes,
packages and gzips multiple javascript files in a single request.
Have fun exploring all the new features and possibilities, which are
currently available in a development stage in the "new-upload" branch.
Cheers! Siebrand
