Not to mention that titles are in their original language, so our [[Run Lola Run]] becomes "Lola rennt (1998)", and our [[Life Is Beautiful]] becomes "Vita รจ bella, La (1997)".
I've been researching the best way to approach this recently, and it seems to me it would work better if we went in the opposite direction, and imported IMDB's core data (not including reviews and comments and so forth) into Wikipedia with a standard template, similarly to what's been done with US Census data. For movies with existing pages, we could stick the data in [[Movie Title/IMDB]] with a standard note on the existing page that the data needs to be merged. I think we would need to request a license from IMDB (their copyright page is not particularly clear on the matter: http://www.imdb.com/conditions) but they seem to allow non-commercial use.
