I don't think that's true considering I just tried it and rolled a 1 followed by a 6, which are not the middle options. If there really is a problem with the extension, which I'm not convinced there is, please make comments on that at http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Algorithm/RandomSelection
