Greetings,
I would like to introduce myself as Nikhil Mahajan from India, currently a sophomore at IIT Roorkee. I am enthusiastic about software development and have been actively involved as a software developer at the coding club at my college. Some of my noteworthy projects can be found on my Github profile.
My journey into the world of open source began through GSoC, and I made my first contribution to MediaWiki. I was thrilled to see my first patch get merged and it gives me a boost to make more contributions. During my exploration of MediaWiki, I came across an interesting project called "Abstract Wikipedia". The GSoC project is about writing end-to-end tests for different critical user journeys in Wikifunctions. These tests will run against any patch review. The tests fail if the patch introduces changes that break down any of the user journeys. This will help avoid merging the patches that mistakenly introduce bugs into the project
Initially, I faced some difficulty in understanding the concept of "zobject" in the Abstract Wikipedia project. However, my mentor, @stef, helped me to gain a clearer understanding of the project.
Although my university exams have kept me away from making contributions for a while, I am now keen to contribute to the project.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
Nikhil Mahajan
