Making translations of the sitenotice at MediaWiki:Sitenotice/XX does not work (only MW:Sitenotice ever gets used, regardless of the interface language) because of caching. http://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8280
The recent fundraiser somehow had localised sitenotices. Is it possible for Commons to use this? (just on Commons)
