Any way to find the used template from the template itself?

Say we have an article which includes {{Infobox A}}, which redirects to {{Infobox B}}, which in turn transcludes {{Infobox}}, which is implemented using [[Module:Infobox]]. Is there a way to know from the module (or the {{Infobox}} template) which infobox was actually used in the article? Thanks, Strainu

On Friday morning my time (10:00 CST, 8:00 PST, 16:00 UTC) I'll be switching the dns record for wikitech.wikimedia.org to point to a new server. This change should be largely invisible to users, but there are a few things to be ready for: - Most importantly, YOU WILL BE LOGGED OUT of Wikitech. So if you've been relying on a persistent session to avoid having to keep track of your 2FA tokens, today is the day to reset 2FA and record the new information. - The new Wikitech build uses a lot of updated software (Debian Stretch, HHVM, etc.). Although we've done some spot-checks, there may be new issues that appear for your particular use case. We'll evaluate these as they crop up, and decide whether or not to revert to the old server. -Andrew

Upcoming CI changes for PHP 7

Tests have run in non-voting mode against nearly all extensions, most of which are passing[1]. There is currently 1 group of test failures, and 3 more extensions that are failing: * Tidy change[2] (being replaced with RemexHtml) * PhpTags test failures[3] * Mpdf is failing PHP 7.0 lint[4] * PHPExcel is failing PHP 7.0 lint[5] We're currently planning to land the tidy change Tuesday afternoon (following the branch cut). Improvements to Page Previews

Hello, We wanted to take a moment to update you all about a reader-focused feature called Page Previews, which has also been popular as a Beta Feature among editors. [0] [1] The Readers web team at the Wikimedia Foundation has been working on a few things we’d like to share. [2] Most recently we: * Deployed the new HTML endpoint for generating previews, leading to better rendering of preview content (math equations work, more predictable formatting of information in parentheses, etc.) [3] * Completed two A/B tests on English and German Wikipedias. [4] The results displayed a decrease in pageviews, but an overall increase in the number of pages readers interact with, indicating that they are more likely to explore a larger variety of topics when the feature is on. We also noted decreased usage of the back button and very low rates of disabling the feature. These experiments built on earlier qualitative and quantitive testing of the feature. [5] Other improvements: * Addressed and fixed many bugs [6] * Refactored the code (that's fancy developer-speak of restructuring the code to be more performant and stable) [7] * Made sure Page Previews do not interfere with the functionality of Navigation Popups ** As both can not be run simultaneously, users of Nav popups will need to disable the gadget in order to try out Page Previews. * Reviewed feedback from readers across the web [8] [9] [10] [11] If you haven’t already, you can enable the feature in your preferences under Appearance. You can now translate Phabricator to your language

It's now possible to translate Phabricator in translatewiki.net thanks to the Phabricator developers, Mukunda Modell, and many others who participated in https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T225 We are currently in an experimental phase, where these translations are only used in https://phabricator.wikimedia.org, but the plan is to propose these translations to Phabricator upstream. A few languages are already available and the language setting can be changed at https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/settings You can help our multilingual user base by translating Phabricator.
