You can still go to the Phabricator task and do that. (It was linked before but for convenience it is https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T150826 .) The patch was about five lines, it's not hard to rewrite if someone has a better idea of what to do.

What's frustrating to me in these kinds of threads is that people are very eager to discuss how the discussion should have happened, but don't seem very interested in the discussion itself.
