Hi, The latest technical newsletter is now available at < https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Tech/News/2016/27>. Below is the English version. You can help write the next newsletter: whenever you see information about Wikimedia technology that you think should be distributed more broadly, you can add it to the next newsletter at < https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/Next>. More information on how to contribute is available at < https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News#contribute>. You can also contact me directly. As always, feedback (on- or off-list) is appreciated and encouraged. ————————————————————————————— Other languages: čeština <https://meta.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/2016/27/cs> • ‎Deutsch <https://meta.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/2016/27/de> • ‎English • ‎ español <https://meta.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/2016/27/es> • ‎suomi <https://meta.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/2016/27/fi> • ‎français <https://meta.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/2016/27/fr> • ‎עברית <https://meta.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/2016/27/he> • ‎italiano <https://meta.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/2016/27/it> • ‎日本語 <https://meta.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/2016/27/ja> • ‎Ripoarisch <https://meta.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/2016/27/ksh> • ‎norsk bokmål <https://meta.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/2016/27/nb> • ‎polski <https://meta.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/2016/27/pl> • ‎svenska <https://meta.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/2016/27/sv> • ‎українська <https://meta.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/2016/27/uk> • ‎Tiếng Việt <https://meta.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/2016/27/vi> • ‎中文 <https://meta.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tech/News/2016/27/zh> Latest *tech news <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Tech/News>* from the Wikimedia technical community. Ready for translation: visual editor's newsletter #2 (2016)
by Erica Litrenta 04 Jul '16

Hi all, long time no see! Hope you're having/had a pleasant start of the week. Heads-up, the second issue of the year of the visual editor's newsletter is now open to translations. Current issue: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/VisualEditor/Newsletter/2016/June Direct translation link: https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=page-V… This will be delivered to the people who already signed up in the past months (please subscribe! [1]) in addition to a list of relevant pages on most WMF wikis [2]. I plan to send it *on Sunday, July 3rd* (when it's evening in Europe), as this issue is quite short. If you rely on translation suggestions, watch out as some links have slightly changed. Also, if your commitment to your community about the visual editor goes beyond translating this newsletter, please join the "Community Taskforce" and spread the word about it! [3] Thank you for your invaluable help!
