Actually, we are very people (only 3 regular contributors) doing all the upload and proofread works in Bengali Wikisource. We have a huge backlog of non-proofread pages (almost 500,000 and its increasing!) and we do need some more (actually many more) hands to proofread them. ;-) So, we are thinking of every possibilities to make the project familiar to Bengali language-speaking people.Hi Anika,Thanks for your suggestions. That would definitely help us.
As we expect almost everyone one as new contributor, we want them just to focus on the proofreading part, so that they dont have to bother about the numbers, and thus the tool requirement. They won't even know that there is a tool to track their contributions in the contest, so no-one will show-off.Aubrey told me that there is a tool to track their contest results in Italian Wikisource, but its there somewhere. I hope that can also help us.Thanks,Bodhisattwa--On 15 August 2016 at 18:17, Anika Born <WikiAnika@wikipedia.de> wrote:depends on what you want to achieve:on de.WS, there is a monthly contest "Korrekturen des Monats"There, several projects are highlighted, some pages by name. (that can be done by everyone; at the beginning the award it was a book of the library of a Wikisourcian) I like this pages, cause it shows the diversity of projects. You can find shorter texts to proofread and sometimes you get really involved. For preparation someone has to find "good" texts to proofread, and to set up the projectpage.Once uppon a time they might also have a tool to show each others the numbers of pages and brag (I have done this, You did only that. I achieved more for the project....)-- Anika2016-08-15 6:29 GMT+02:00 Bodhisattwa Mandal <bodhisattwa.rgkmc@gmail.com>:______________________________We are planning for a proofreading contest in Bengali Wikisource. In this regard, we are looking for a tool to track proofreading counts by editors within a given period of time. Any suggestions?Hi all,Regards,--Bodhisattwa_________________
