depends on what you want to achieve:

on de.WS, there is a monthly contest "Korrekturen des Monats"
https://de.wikisource.org/wiki/Wikisource:Korrekturen_des_Monats

There, several projects are highlighted, some pages by name. People, who are proofreading these pages, scrach them out (<s></s> --~~~~).

A summary is given at the end of the page: https://de.wikisource.org/wiki/Wikisource:Korrekturen_des_Monats#August_2016

The one with the most proofread-pages earns a flower and a thank you-note at the end of the month. (that can be done by everyone; at the beginning the award it was a book of the library of a Wikisourcian) I like this pages, cause it shows the diversity of projects. You can find shorter texts to proofread and sometimes you get really involved.

For preparation someone has to find "good" texts to proofread, and to set up the projectpage.

Once uppon a time they might also have a tool to show each others the numbers of pages and brag (I have done this, You did only that. I achieved more for the project....)

Hi all,

We are planning for a proofreading contest in Bengali Wikisource. In this regard, we are looking for a tool to track proofreading counts by editors within a given period of time. Any suggestions?

Regards,
