Thanks for your concerns!... we were slashdotted in August, and our servers went down then (it was a 1 CPU machine).<br>Now the server uses memcached and squid, and it is an 8 CPU machine. <br>Also, the campus is making us go down via power cuts (they are replacing some feeds somewhere), so in a sense, why also not go down due to Slashdotting, which is more honor and more fun? :-)
